Data controller
The teacher using this register is the data controller for their students' data (names, attendance, grades, notes). Whoever provides the app acts as data processor on the teacher's behalf, when the app is hosted as a service.
Data collected
Teacher account data (name, email, hashed password). Data entered by the teacher: names of schools/classes/courses of study/students, attendance, grades, topics, homework, free-text notes, teacher absences.
Purpose and legal basis
Managing the teacher's personal register. Legal basis: contract performance (using the service) and, for student data, the teacher's legitimate interest/teaching mandate at their institution.
Retention period
Data is kept until the teacher deletes it — a register can be archived at year end and permanently deleted at any time from "Archive". Deleting the account permanently and immediately deletes all connected data.
Sub-processors
Resend (transactional emails: password reset). Stripe (payments, when active — see billing settings). No other third-party service receives student data.
Your rights
A teacher can correct, export (via the app itself) or delete their own data and the data entered in the register at any time, including deleting a single student or the whole account.
